Gus Abeln studied civil law at Leiden University and obtained a Masters of Law (LL.M) from the University of Bristol. Gus worked for many years as an attorney in lawfirms. He then worked as a corporate lawyer at major international companies including Rabobank, Vattenfall, Abengoa and SABIC. As a result, he knows what you may encounter as an entrepreneur in your day-to-day business. In 2013, Gus founded the firm Abeln.

Gus has more than 25 years of experience and advises employers, employees and managing directors on matters such as dismissals, reorganisations, (international) secondment and (amendments) of terms and conditions of employment. He also has particular expertise in (international) commercial contracts. Gus is a trusted advisor to companies from Spanish-speaking countries that are active in the Netherlands or wish to become active in the Netherlands.

Gus is a member of the Employment Law Association (VVA).
